Professional coach and Recovery advocate
Thank you for taking time to connect. With such an ocean of content out here in the digital world we can often feel adrift, overwhelmed or distracted by shiny things and lacking any clear direction. I appreciate you taking the time, in this moment now to read my blog. Unless you already know me you are probably wondering already who i am, what i stand for, and if i can provide any value for you. Well, of course i am sincerely hoping so.
I have recently turned 40 and have spent my life battling adversity, overcoming challenges and building resilience. I was born with a congenital limb difference, which means that i could have never pursued a career in juggling, but I made one in substance misuse. Firstly as a class A addict for over 12 years. I am now a person in long term recovery and have worked in various public and third sector recovery oriented roles over the last ten years. most recently as National coordinator – England, for an international charity. Also this year i ran my first marathon.
I have lots of experience in public speaking, and have also worked with a number of community recovery organisations in an asset based approach to community building.
‘Whatever adversity you face in your life make a commitment to yourself to keep going, and keep growing. ‘
I help people and communities connect with themselves, and each other.
